Sometimes we feel discouraged, without energy, disenchanted with life and maybe even a little bit wronged by it. After all, we do our best and never leave the same place…. It looks like we’re stuck in a hamster wheel and we ask ourselves, “Why?” But we continue to walk around, always on the same path. This way it’s natural that nothing will change, right?
So? It looks like we may have found one reason. The fear of change. To live a richer life it is necessary to accept the changes, to lose the fear of the unknown, to be willing to leave the comfort zone. I’m not talking about being irresponsible. Just keeping open-minded.
“Ah, but … this is not for me … I will not be able to … I don’t have enough knowledge… I’m not old enough yet to…” these and so many other negative thoughts only serve to block us and prevent us from going further. Here we have another one of the “little friends” we were looking for.
And that feeling that we are powerless to change anything, because the responsibility for feeling bad is not ours, but of others? Blame others. Is it good for anything? Will it change anything? Do we have any power to intervene in the actions of others? Isn’t it easier and possible for us to decide what effect and power they have on our lives? Where we can act is in the way we face what comes from abroad.
Yeah … talking is easy, but life is hard! You have to work hard, be an example of integrity, fulfill your obligations, not fail. Seriously? Being a worker and an example is very dignified, yes. But not failing? This is taking yourself too seriously. The human being is not perfect, he makes mistakes, he has the right to rest, have fun, laugh more. To be happier.
